The Benefits of Membership in the Vermont National Guard Association. 

Members of the VT National Guard are a citizen armed force. When activated they are performing their missions and when not activated they work and live their lives in our communities.

To date, members of our National Guard, on their own free time, have agreed to assist Vermont companies in their efforts to attract Department of Defense contracts. Over the last year, with a pilot group of six companies, National Guard personnel have assisted them by:

• Reviewing their products and their particular applications in the field
• Making introductions to appropriate connections within the DoD
• Arranging for field testing of products
• Assisting with their sales and marketing efforts at the Adjutant Generals Association of the US (AGAUS) Conference
• Assisting with their sales and marketing efforts at the National Guard Association (NGAUS) Conference and Convention
• Assisting with efforts at the Annual Industry Day

All of this has been done at the personal expense of the National Guard personnel involved.

We want to bolster corporate participation in the VT NGAUS so that the above activities are sustainable. We want to see Vermont companies be able to

• Network
• Tap into expertise derived from National Guard personnel whom have been deployed throughout the world on a wide variety of tasks and missions
• Support and organization that will support our National Guard
