The role of the Vermont Workforce Development Council is to coordinate public and private partners in order to develop a highly skilled workforce that can effectively compete in the regional, national and international economic arenas. Regional Workforce Investment Boards, comprised of public and private sector participants, work to support regional economic development strategies by responding to workforce needs as defined by regional participants.
