Vermont’s utilities include affordable, reliable and stable public services that businesses depend on to keep operations uninterrupted, running smoothly and competitive.

Vermont Department of Public Service

The Department of Public Service is part of the executive branch of state government and acts as a public and consumer advocate. The department oversees electricity, gas, water, telecommunications, cable and renewable/efficiency initiatives, serving Vermonters through public advocacy, planning, programs and other actions that meet a variety of needs for the short and long term.

Efficiency Vermont

Among other things, energy efficiency equals cost efficiency. Efficiency Vermont provides technical and financial assistance and design guidance in order to promote energy efficiency and protect the environment. They’ll work with you and your contractors, vendors and design professionals to identify the cost- and energy-saving steps you can take, including lighting, equipment, fixtures and building materials.
